A History of Excellence
BPI Century Tokyo Lease & Finance Corporation (BPICTL) is a joint venture established in 2014 between two market leaders in leasing and financial industry—Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and Tokyo Century Corporation (TC) of Japan. This partnership was formed through the acquisition of shares in BPI Leasing Corporation. Initially, in 2014, TC held a 49% stake in the company. By 2020, TC increased its shareholding to 51% becoming the majority stakeholder. The collaboration brings together TC's global expertise and resources, and BPI's strong brand name and track record in the Philippine financial market.
In 2024, BPI Tokyo Century Rental Corporation (BPITCR), a wholly owned subsidiary of BPICTL, expanded its operations through the acquisition of Brilliant Car Rental Corp. (BCRC). BCRC is a new company formed for the acquisition of Diamond IGB Group businesses with the tradename of Diamond Rent-a-Car (DRAC). This strategic move enabled BPITC to broaden its service offerings to include Operating Lease, Full-Service Operating Lease, Rent-a- Car, Fleet Management Services, Car Maintenance and Repair Services, and Used Vehicles Sale.
Today, BPITCR is committed to delivering flexible, efficient, and customizable leasing solutions tailored to the diverse needs of businesses, serving both individual clients and top corporations across a wide range of industries.
